Completed Home Tour - The Modern Colonial is complete, and Bob takes a grand rounds tour of the finished project. Interior Designer Leslie Curtis is on site to talk about the examples of Colonial-style furniture on display from the SPNEA's Historic New England Collection. The kitchen has been equipped with several Energy Star-rated Kenmore Elite appliances, including a new wall oven, microwave, and dishwasher. In the sunroom, Curtis has chosen wicker furniture, and the planter box is filled with houseplants from Mahoney's Nurseries. In the main living space Curtis has selected colors from the Bob Vila Signature Series paint collection to complement furniture selections from the Eddie Bauer home collection. Wall stencils from MB Historic Decor complement the classic interior. 21st century home entertainment options include a new Panasonic widescreen TV and combination DVD/hard disc recorder, and a fitness area with exercise equipment from NordicTrack. In the great room, Bob takes a moment to talk about furniture maker Tommy MacDonald's grand secretary. The tour wraps up in the master suite, where Bob peeks in at the Kohler tub in the master bathroom.
